So I'm watching this old Motorweek, and a Mercury Topaz comes up. It's an almost lugghzhury, but still ugly version of the Ford Tempo.
Cool.
Cool cool cool.
I love shitty cars sooo much I can't even tell you.

My grandmother had a Topaz for about 10 years from the mid '80s to mid '90s. The earliest car I remember my parents having was an '85 Tempo that was a real piece of crap, one of my earliest memories is that car breaking down in the parking lot of the King of Prussia Mall and getting to ride in the cab of a tow truck.

My friend from high school had one of these for his first car. With four of us in there, it struggled to hit 55mph on the highway

LMAO as they're talking about ABS not working with the diffs locked on the Quattro and them working on fixing it... cause you can totally individually brake wheels that are locked together. SMH.

I was born in '79
I saw SO many crappy American cars for so long
Thank God the extended Malaise Era for American cars eventually ended
